If there is one thing every woman traveller is on the lookout for it’s the perfect travel dress. I keep getting letters and enquiries about them. My favourites include the TRVL DRSS dresses, which I have already presented here. However, they are quite expensive.
The sleeveless ULTRA STRETCH AIRISM MINI DRESS from uniqlo’s new spring collection costs 25 euros or 30 euros as a maxi dress. It’s a simple sleeveless knee-length dress made from a crease-resistant, breathable material with pockets that is suitable for travelling.
I bought it in black and fell in love with it the minute I wore it and I’m currently thinking about whether I need the AIRism travel dress in all the other colours as well and in both length, too, that’s how perfect I think it is.
The dress has a narrow cut at the top and is then slightly A-line shaped. It is not bulky and offers maximum freedom of movement. The Ultrastretch AIRism material with quick-drying DRY technology and COOL-Touch is comfortable on the skin, even when the temperature rises. (I’m not so keen on the AIRISM cotton blend, which I find too stiff). I have asked my tailor to change the neckline, so now it has a lower, more flattering one for women like me with a larger bust.
The ULTRA STRETCH AIRISM dress can be combined elegantly and sportily, has two pockets and is washable at 40 degrees.
Even as a non-travel dress: a great musthave!
